This Churchwarden is crafted from an especially fine piece of briar. The grain towards the bottom of the bowl suggests that this was cut out of a small burl. Very interesting, very nice.

The 7/8" diameter tobacco chamber is 2" deep. The bowl is 2 3/8" tall and has 1/2" thick walls. With its vulcanite stem, the pipe is 10 3/4" long, and weighs in at 2 1/4 oz.

With the long stem and thick walls, this should provide a particularly cool smoke. The stem can be bent if the buyer wishes.
